Affiliate Members

Statewide, regional and local private nonprofit associations, educational institutions and organizations that are organized to promote public and private nonprofit policies and services that benefit children and families, whose members are not otherwise eligible for full membership in the Federation.

Children's Advocacy Centers of Michigan

Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs) partner with prosecutors, law enforcement, and protective services to coordinate the investigation of child maltreatment—often child sexual abuse. CACs also provides support to child survivors of abuse so that those kids can get back to being kids.

Michigan CASA is a nonprofit organization which establishes and supports the 27 affiliate programs across the State that recruit, screen, train, and supervise CASA volunteers. Michigan CASA is committed to maintaining a network of well-administered, affiliate programs that operate independently with mutual accountability, resulting in the highest level of advocacy for all of Michigan’s abused and neglected children. What does CASA stand for? A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is a trained community volunteer appointed by a judge to speak up for the best interests of an abused, neglected, or abandoned child. Bringing urgency to a child’s needs both in and out of a courtroom, CASA volunteers advocate for safety, permanence and well-being for children through independent recommendations.

We work with families, parents, and the youth to provide complete, comprehensive treatment plans that meet juvenile justice system court requirements. Our approach is simple but effective: Each plan is customized to provide the highest level of support for the youth and their families.

As one of the five Care Management Organizations (CMO) contracted by Wayne County, we collaborate with MiSide and The Guidance Center to develop treatment plans that work. In fact, 80 percent of the youth referred to Bridgeway for in-home services were released from court and the juvenile justice system in nine months.
