Minority Professional Leadership Development: FREE opportunity!—Spaulding for Children is a sub-awardee on a federal grant (AdoptUSKids) and responsible for the implementation of the Minority Professional Leadership Development program, an 8-month program designed to enhance the leadership skills of emerging minority leaders in the field of adoption across the nation and hopefully, address the over representation of minority families in the child welfare system. The new Minority Professional Leadership Development (MPLD) program at AdoptUSKids is accepting applications from candidates now through September 3. This eight-month fellowship is designed for emerging leaders working in child welfare. It includes hands-on experience, exposure to national experts, and mentorship opportunities. It will begin with a 3-day kick-off celebration in the Washington, DC, area in January 2019. To learn more about the MPLD program and to get an application, go to http://adoptuskids.org/mpld.
