WHO WE ARE
WMPC is a nonprofit organization that provides foster care and adoption services to children and families in Kent County, MI in partnership with Bethany Christian Services, Catholic Charities West Michigan, D.A. Blodgett—St. Johns, Samaritas, and Wellspring Lutheran Services. WMPC is piloting a performance-based funding model through a contract with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), utilizing a case rate that incentivizes permanency while allowing for flexibility and creativity in funds. WMPC utilizes software that will allow for predictive analytics to project successful outcomes, and flag cases that are at risk. WMPC seeks to empower communities to create better futures for children and families through innovation and collaboration.

HOW YOU WILL SPEND YOUR DAY
• Supervising a small team of PQI Coordinators.
• Ensuring implementation of protocols, policies, and procedures related to the PQI framework across the WMPC network providers.
• Leading the tracking, monitoring and reporting on contract compliance, including quarterly contract reviews and annual audits.
• Remaining knowledgeable of current research and evidence-based practice for continuous quality improvement, change management, and foster care program evaluation.
• Supporting WMPC compliance with federal, state, and county regulations, COA standards, and contract requirements.
• Managing and reporting on risk management and prevention activities, including special investigations, critical incidents, and internal incidents.
• Facilitating collaborative meetings to standardize performance and build continuous quality improvement capacity across the WMPC network.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health, Public Administration, or related field.
• Three years of progressively responsible experience required.
• Team player with a positive attitude towards contributing and learning.
• Knowledge of child welfare principles/standards, practices, and systems (i.e. foster care, adoption, child placing agency licensing and placement procedures).
• Knowledge and experience in trauma-informed practices.
• Project management experience
• Technical writing expertise.
• Supervisory experience.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to lead and interact with a diverse group of individuals and stakeholders.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products and web-based applications.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
