Event Date:
05/19/2017 - 8:30am to 3:45pm

Attention private agencies: The Lake-Mecosta-Missaukee-Newaygo-Osceola-Wexford area (LMNOW Coalition—comprising Eagle Village, Holy Cross Children’s Services, Catholic Charities West Michigan, Bethany Christian Services, PARC & DHHS) will host a FREE 6-hour training experience at Ferris State University on Friday, May 19.

The theme is "self-care."

Please alert your agency’s foster-adoptive parents, inquiries, churches you may be working with, your CMH or contractors for services, and courts in your area. Staff and community supports are welcome, although possibly on a limited basis later due to foster-adoptive parent response. The day-long training (six hours) will be a seamless presentation from keynote to closing about how agencies can care for employees and clients, where trauma triggers arise, how to work with this, and why/how caretakers can address their own self-care.

Discounted hotel available.
