Responsibilities:
Responsible for direct supervision of staff and management of: 1) outpatient counseling including mental health, psychiatry and substance abuse services, 2) outreach services to the Spanish speaking and 3) supervision of the behavioral health support staff.

Qualifications:
Master’s degree in social work or psychology from an accredited graduate school.  Three years experience in providing direct service within an outpatient setting.  Five or more years experience in a clinical setting to include supervision.  State of Michigan certification within areas of professional discipline.  Strong program planning, development skills and knowledge and experience with managed care and substance abuse services, as well as excellent clinical abilities required.

lssmlogoSocial Work Supervisor- Full time.  Ensure needed and appropriate services are provided as required by contractual and licensing requirements, and that applicable service standards are met through provision of direct service as provided by assigned social work staff.

Examples of Work:
Coordinate intake and assignment of cases; monitor treatment plans, reports and correspondence.  Participate in 24-hour availability to clients, staff, and referral agencies.  Provide family preservation services to referred families.  Train and supervise program staff.  Monitor family contract compliance.

Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Social Work, or equivalent.  ACSW preferred.  Certified by State of Michigan.  Prior experience in family preservation and supervision.  Satisfactory drug test, physical exam and criminal/abuse checks.
