AGENCY PLANS TO OPEN ASSESSMENT CENTER IN SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN
Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich., (August 18, 2006)—Today, Children’s Home of Detroit (CHD) Board of Trustees has named Thomas Standish, ACSW, LISW, as new executive director and announced plans to open an assessment center to serve emotionally troubled children and their families in southeast Michigan.

LANSING –The Michigan Department of Human Services has found that the schools with Family Resource Centers met their annual yearly progress goals at a much higher rate than those without Family Resource Centers.
The Michigan Federation for Children and Families’ 2006 Salary & Fringe Benefit Survey Summary reflecting data current as of January 31, 2006 is now available. The report reflects actual salaries of 3,703 employees across 58 job classifications within 38 Michigan private, nonprofit child and family service agencies. For the second year, this report includes two sections which present additional, valuable information: (1) required employee contributions toward health insurance premiums and (2) selected staff turnover data.
