The DCH budget totals $11.2 billion, $2.9 billion in general funds

The DCH budget, SB 1083, PA 330, totals $11.2 billion, $2.9 billion in general fund—Included in the budget is $100 million to help support Granholm’s proposed Michigan First Healthcare Plan that would provide health insurance for up to one million state residents not now insured.

2006 Salary & Fringe Benefit Survey Summary Now Available

The Michigan Federation for Children and Families’ 2006 Salary & Fringe Benefit Survey Summary reflecting data current as of January 31, 2006 is now available. The report reflects actual salaries of 3,703 employees across 58 job classifications within 38 Michigan private, nonprofit child and family service agencies. For the second year, this report includes two sections which present additional, valuable information: (1) required employee contributions toward health insurance premiums and (2) selected staff turnover data.
